to wish death upon oneself

is to stop dreaming, hoping, wishing, crying. to live in sustained silence, young, crippled by the lack of light always at the back door of every house. to weep for oneself over petty misgivings, past moments that have died in passing. to read only to search for closure and warmth where there is only a void at the end of each page. to forge an identity for death under one resilient breath. to place borders of fear around love. to hide under blankets and not seek....
to wish life upon oneself is to breathe and let breath be.

  2. :( that's sad. there are so many other things to wish for in life, so concentrate your energy on fulfilling wishes that make you happy :).

  3. I just wanted to revisit my last comment, and while it is highly implausible that my anonymous reader has come back to re-read my comments, I want to add that my intention was not to diminish what it is you are feeling, and I know it's a strong and powerful feeling when one seems to want to give up, and it's easy for me to have written shift your energy. There is something much deeper here, and a through and honest introspection of your feelings should be taking place. Why is it that you feel so? How long have you had such a desire? Have you spoken to anyone about your feelings? Who would this feeling hurt, aside from yourself? Answer who am I? And what are the dangers of such a wish? Sometimes life seems lifeless and cold, but from my experience at least, I can tell you this is not always so.

Here's a quotation by the poet Emily Dickinson that speaks to me and will hopefully speak to you: "Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all.”
