the red sky, still, sound
speechless, I sit thinking silky thoughts
of the heavy happiness we carry in frames
that leave us with trembling hands.

  4. Looking at sky Always makes lost somewhere in time.
    <3 lovely post.

  5. Zeinab, I stumbled across your blog while reading up about Freud. Can I just say what an incredible writer and thinker you are? This is just fantastic, genius work and I find so many parallels between how we write and think.

  6. Zeinab, this is a beautiful blog and you are an incredible thinker and writer. I find so many parallels in how we navigate our lives and thinking...

  7. Thanks for all the kind words, Janaki. I think as writers we long for that reader(s) that our writing speaks to, perhaps sometimes in a different language than we intended, but to recognize a familiarity in thinking validates our writing by giving it meaning. (:

Yes the expansive sky is comforting, Aman! (:

  8. Thanks Shamsa!
You haven't been on for a while. Hope you're well!:)
