reflection

the red sky, still, sound
speechless, I sit thinking silky thoughts
of the heavy happiness we carry in frames
that leave us with trembling hands.

  7. Thanks for all the kind words, Janaki. I think as writers we long for that reader(s) that our writing speaks to, perhaps sometimes in a different language than we intended, but to recognize a familiarity in thinking validates our writing by giving it meaning. (:
